FAQ

1. where can I find help with exam preparation?

The student council has set up a Moodle course (name: Fachschaft Psychologie). You can ask us for the password to the course. Here you will find a lot of information about studying, job advertisements, hours of work experience and internships as well as old exams. You can usually find the lecture notes for the lectures in the Moodle courses for the respective lecture: You can find the passwords for these from your lecturers. Simply contact us by e-mail.

2. I would like to change from another degree program to a higher semester of psychology. Is that possible? What should I do if I want to change my place of study?
You can find information on this under the following link:

https://studium.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/de/hoehere-fachsemester

Basically, it is possible to apply for a higher semester if you have enough credit points (CPs) and a place becomes available; this means that someone who is studying here must drop out. Since the chances are not too good, you should have a plan B here.
You can find out more about what can be credited to you from Dr. Andreas Utsch (phone no.: +49 (0) 234 / 32 - 27895); if you can't get in touch by phone, just try sending an email to andreas.utsch@rub.de.

The same applies to a change of study location. CPs that you have collected at your previous university can also be credited to you. Please contact Dr. Andreas Utsch.

3 I have further questions about the formalities of the degree program.
You can contact the student advisor Dr. Andreas Utsch (phone no.: +49 (0) 234 / 32 - 27895, e-mail: andreas.utsch@rub.de).

4 I would like to get involved in my student council! Who can I contact?
We are very happy about any support and welcome you! There are many ways to get involved. Once a year, our student council holds a general assembly where you can be elected to the student council. But you can also represent the student body independently of this, for example on various committees. Just drop by or send us an e-mail. Don't be shy: it doesn't matter what semester you're in or how much you know about university politics - everyone is welcome and urgently needed!
